Hering's Sand Bar and Grill, 345 Sandy Beach Road, Lake Mills, WI (920)648-3227. This place is open in the warm months only. The best seating is on the outdoor patio which looks out onto the beautiful beach along Rock Lake. They have great food and cold beer. They serve steaks, burgers, sandwiches and have a fantastic fish fry. ONLY OPEN IN THE SUMMER MONTHS.
Carps Landing 103 S. Main Street Downtown Lake Mills. This restaurant has it all. Great burgers, great pasta, great atmosphere. It's got a nice bar and plenty of seating including outdoor seating.
El Mariachi 102 E Madison Street - free chips and salsa for starts and good Mexican food and margaritas. Mariachi musicians play on some evenings.

The Velvet Lips Lounge Bar & Grill 10 South Water St. West Ft. Atkinson- This place is so cool! The decor is beautiful (shabby sheek). It has a beautiful bar with a beautiful chandelier. The food is fantastic. The chef studied under the famous Rick Bayless. Take Rt. 12 East into Ft. Atkinson, turn right (south) on Main St. over the Rock River bridge.
